President - Tara Kerpelman Puig 

Tara is a Geneva native with a multicultural background. She has a Bachelor’s in Brain & Cognitive Science and a minor in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rochester, and a Master’s of Science in Journalism from Medill at Northwestern University with concentrations in Science & Medicine Reporting and Broadcast Journalism. After more than 15 years of working in marketing, communications and events, she became an independent consultant. She also writes regularly for the Tribune Rives-Lac newspaper, has a small baking and catering business on the side, and is happy to have found the GWG to help her pursue more creative compositions once again.


Treasurer Nicole Scobie

Nicole is a dual Canadian-Swiss citizen. She has written and published short stories, non-fiction, and is working on a novel. A graduate of the Faber Academy Writing a Novel Course, she was selected for the 2021 Anthology. She is co-founder of the Swiss charity Zoé4life. Nicole worked as an air traffic controller in Geneva but recently took early retirement in order to have more time for writing.


Co-Executive Secretary - Elizabeth (Liz) Nash

Liz is a Canadian who has lived overseas for decades; Geneva has been her home for about 15 years. She’s been a GWG member for at least 5 years, thoroughly enjoying workshops, conferences and meeting other writers. She has dabbled in poetry and short stories, and thanks to the continued support of a GWG writing group is on Chapter 22 of a never-ending novel. As a Certified Life Coach (PCC) and Mentor she focuses on strengthening leadership skills and confidence to find and create professional and personal opportunities. She has over 20 years of project, policy, and advocacy experience in International Development, specifically in Gender Equality and Human Rights and a Human Rights-Based Approach to development programming with a focus on creating Safe Spaces.


Co-Executive Secretary - Andra Otilia Nicolescu

Andra is a Romanian-American writer, editor, and practicing human rights lawyer. Andra’s Pushcart Prize-nominated literary fiction appears in journals including Glimmer Train, Catapult Magazine, Blunderbuss Magazine, while her scholarly and legal research published by Oxford University Press and Edward Elgar Publishing, among others. A recent alumn of the Bread Loaf and One Story Writer’s Conferences, Andra was a 2024 Artist-in-Residence with KHB/Kunsthalle Studios in Berlin. Currently a collaborating editor with Matca Literară, she is revising her first novel manuscript (Midnight in Exile) and at work on a hybrid intertextual family memoir.


Moyette Gibbons

Moyette is British-Jamaican and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina. Her novel, God and the Blues, won the Hachette UK Bursary for Debut Authors in 2023. She is the Communications Director at Black Girl Writers, a mentorship programme linking Black women with industry professionals. Moyette is also a former journalist and Eastern Europe correspondent turned communications specialist. She is represented by Hannah Schofield at LBA Books.


Victor Kouassi

Victor grew up in London and is now based in Lausanne. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Physiology and a master’s degree in Infection & Immunity, as well as one in Creative Writing. He currently works for a not-for-profit organization in Geneva where he organises online events and articles featuring scientists. He has worked in scientific communications and publishing, updated websites, crafted social media posts to promote activities, and prepared and delivered online newsletters. Victor writes fiction and is currently redrafting his first novel. His favourite books include The Fishermen by Chigozie Obioma and Kintu by Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi.


Jeanette Tantillo

Jeanette has two Masters degrees in international relations and urban planning. She has worked at non-governmental organizations in Geneva organizing and moderating dialogues, acting as liaison, and providing training on sustainable development in the areas of digital technologies, trade, and ethics. Since 2007, she teaches at Webster University Geneva focusing on international organizations. She writes poetry, hosts the Geneva Open Mic Poetry Readings since 2016, and will soon finish her first novel of speculative fiction. As part of the GWG SteerCo, she hopes to increase networking with the UN and local Geneva, boost membership and engagement, and support new workshops.
